District Names Kristie Calvin as Interim Principal of Two Rivers School
Calvin has served as the assistant principal of Ryan Middle School since 2013 and began her career with the district in 2009. She has more than 20 years of educational experience and is known for actively engaging the community and for instituting innovative programs such as the annual Ryan C.A.F.E event, which cultivates school-wide cultural awareness.
“I am thrilled to be appointed as interim principal at Two Rivers School and am excited to get to know the staff, students, families, and community,” said Calvin. “I look forward to continuing the great things that Lori Swanson implemented and to working with the entire school community.”
“Ms. Calvin will provide positive leadership for the Two Rivers community and will serve the school well during the upcoming school year,” said Gaborik.
The selection was the result of an appointment by the interim superintendent. The district will perform a search for a permanent principal in spring 2015. Information regarding the hiring committee process and participation method will be available at that time.
Welcome to Two Rivers, Kristie Calvin!
